Managing available AI models
Organisation Admins can control which AI models are available across their firm and which enabled models Dojo can consider when using the Auto model picker.
Use model management to keep the available options focused, manage relative model costs, and give your team an approved set of models for their work.
Models configuration
- Open your User menu.
- Select Admin Portal.
- Select Models from the left-hand menu.
The models page lists the models provided by AI Dojo for your organisation. From this page, you can manage firm-wide model availability and select the enabled models that Dojo can use in the Auto model picker.
Manage models available to your firm
- Find the model you want to manage.
- Use the Enabled toggle to turn the model on or off.
- Allow a few minutes for the change to apply across your organisation.
- When enabled: Users can select the model manually from the model picker.
- When disabled: Users can no longer select the model once the change has applied.
- Existing workflows: If a disabled model is selected through an existing setting or session, the platform will use a similar enabled model instead.
Configure the Auto model picker
The Auto model picker selects only from enabled models marked as Auto Candidate. Select the checkbox beside each enabled model you want the platform to consider automatically.
- Confirm the model is enabled.
- Select its Auto Candidate checkbox.
- Repeat for each enabled model you want the platform to consider when Auto is selected.
Choosing models well
- Keep the list focused: Enable models your team has a clear reason to use. A smaller approved list makes selection simpler and more consistent.
- Review relative cost: The Models page displays cost indicators for each model. Consider lower-cost models for suitable routine work, and reserve higher-cost options for tasks where the additional capability is worthwhile.
- Set Auto Candidates deliberately: Nominate models that provide the right balance of quality, speed, and cost for your firm’s usual workflows.
- Maintain a fallback: Keep more than one suitable model enabled where practical, particularly for important workflows.
- Review regularly: Revisit your enabled models and Auto Candidates as your team’s needs and cost preferences change.
- Tell your team: Let users know when you add, remove, or change models that may affect their usual workflow.
Frequently asked questions
Who can manage models?
Only Organisation Admins can access the Models page or change model availability and Auto Candidate settings.
Can users choose any model?
No. Users can manually choose only from the models their Organisation Admin has enabled for the firm.
What happens when I disable a model?
Once the update has applied, users cannot select the model from the model picker. If it is selected through an existing setting or session, Dojo uses a similar enabled model instead.
Why can I still see a disabled model?
Changes can take a few minutes to apply across your organisation. Refresh the platform page or wait a short time, then check the model picker again.
Why is a model not being used by the Auto model picker?
Check that the model is both Enabled and selected as an Auto Candidate. The Auto model picker only selects from models that meet both conditions.
Can we connect our own AI provider or API key?
No. Models available in the platform are provided and managed by AI Dojo.
Is our data handled differently by different models?
No. Your organisation’s data remains safe and secure across all models available in AI Dojo.
